There are two pairs of optional verbs that do not mean motion themselves but are used together with main verbs of motion: 

 

идти́ + нести́

ходи́ть + носи́ть

е́хать+ везти́

е́здить + вози́ть


1. нести́ — носи́ть:

carry something in one’s hand (is used together with “идти” and “ходить”.

2. везти́ —  вози́ть: 

to carry with any kind of vehicle (is used together with “ехать” and “ездить”.
